Welcome to KTM Funeral Home

We are a licensed funeral home that has proudly been serving the tri-state area for over 16 years.  We are family owned and operated and our trained staff will help provide all types of pre-arrangement services to families of any faith.

Our History

In 1990, a group of people from the Dothan area approached the four men who became the founding partners of Kent-Thornton Funeral Home. They asked them to consider establishing a funeral home in Dothan, Alabama. After much research and prayer, the doors of Kent-Thornton Funeral Home opened in March 1991. The building that houses the original location in Dothan, was an abandoned church. The partners put the plan into action to provide services to grieving people in the Wiregrass. They also got the opportunity to save an abandoned church and a decaying neighborhood! The foundation that this funeral home was built upon is to continue to let God use the staff to provide care and service to all who enter. In December 1996, manager and partner Scott V. Thornton died. Jane Thornton, his widow, continues to work at the funeral home. In  2001, David Meadows, Jr. purchased the funeral home which became known as Kent-Thornton-Meadows. Also, in 2002 he added a second location in Ashford, Alabama.
